Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Unveiling Washington D.C.

On August 28th 2011 Our Nation will unveil the Memorial for Martin Luther King Jr. in Washington D.C.  This project has been ongoing since the mid 1980’s with the vote going in Congress all the way to Former President Clinton signing legislation proposing the Memorial also. This National Memorial has been a long time coming and I am glad to finally see its unveiling the end of this month.  There is plenty of events that will be taking place in the city leading up to this great moment in time and they have given a complete detail of events and the history behind this moment  on their website

Due to recent weather conditions it has been reported that the Unveiling ceremony will be postponed for a later date.  They will end the celebration on saturday and will post soon when the actual ceremony will take place.
